Market
The Thalamus product structure is a hierarchical cascade system used to organize the entire product catalog. This structure moves from general to specific, with each level providing context for the one below it.
The hierarchy consists of the following levels, in order from most general to most specific:
Competitive Market: The overall competitive market.
Competitive Market Company: The companies that operate within a competitive market.
Brand Family: The umbrella brand under which individual brands are grouped.
Brand: A distinct, low-level brand.
Product: A specific product that belongs to a particular brand.
SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): The most granular and specific representation of a product.
Each level is optional and can be left unused if it does not apply to a specific project or environment. However, to create an instance of a level, at least one instance of the level above it must first be created.
