Manual Communication

The standard process is as follows: the communication content is fully configured. Applicability rules are set to define the target audience.The communication is either sent immediately or scheduled for a specific time.

How to create a Manual Communication

To create a communication, navigate to the 'Activity Communications' link within the relevant activity. The following screen will be displayed:

To create a new one, select the communication . Create option located in the RELATED TASKS section on the right side of the screen, The following screen will be displayed:

1. Main Configuration

  • Name: A required text field for entering a descriptive name.

  • Channel: A dropdown menu to select the communication channel (e.g., Email, SMS).

  • With minimum email validation level: A dropdown menu to set the minimum required validation level for an email address to be included in the communication.

  • With minimum party identity validation level: A dropdown menu to set the minimum required validation level for a participant's identity to be included.

2. Scheduling and Status

  • Scheduled for: A date and time selector to schedule when the communication will be sent. If left blank, the communication may be sent manually.

  • Active: A checkbox to enable or disable the communication. An inactive communication will not be sent.

3. Descriptive Content

  • Description 1 / Description 2 / Description 3: Text fields for internal notes, descriptions, or content snippets related to the communication.

4. Advanced Options

  • Send to File: A checkbox that, when selected, generates a file of the communication recipients.

  • Add Source info: A checkbox to include additional source or tracking information within the communication's data.

  • Set as transactional: A checkbox to mark the communication as transactional.

5. Sender Configuration

  • Change the Communication Sender by Field State: An advanced feature that allows the sender's information (e.g., "From" address) to be dynamically changed based on the value of a specific data field.
