Effectiveness
Initial concept on effectiveness
Thalamus communications provide a range of data for analysis. Standard engagement metrics are tracked automatically for each recipient (referred to as a communication "impact"). Key metrics include: Bounces, Opens and Clicks.
These are typically tracked via a Boolean (true/false) value on each impact, indicating whether an action was performed.
Beyond standard metrics, Thalamus includes a custom, configurable metric known as Effectiveness. This feature is designed to measure whether a communication has successfully prompted a recipient to achieve a specific business goal.
Effectiveness is defined by establishing a required sequence of actions (known as "interactions") that a recipient must complete within a preset period of time. If the sequence is completed correctly, the communication's impact on that recipient is marked as "Effective".
