Mileage
Designed to boost user engagement, this integrated points engine allows you to create a digital rewards catalogue. Create an account for each participant, where they will accumulate points according to a set of fully customisable rules and actions within the Thalamus platform. The module also allows you to create a catalogue of digital rewards, enabling users to redeem their earned points for items, making it a comprehensive solution for implementing loyalty and gamification programmes.
How to Create and Edit a Mileage Activity
To create a new one, you must have selected the Mileage activity type. The following screen will appear:

Status: A read-only field that displays the current configuration state of the activity. The default value is "Configuration pending".
1. Generic Activity Information
This section appears when "Generic" is selected as the Activity Type and contains the basic identification details.
Name: A text input field for the activity's name.
Code: A text input field for a unique identifier code for the activity.
Description: A text input field for a detailed description of the activity's purpose.
2. Visibility Period
This section defines the date and time range during which the activity will be active or visible.
Visible From: The start date and time for the activity's visibility.
To: The end date and time for the activity's visibility.
Time zone: A dropdown menu to select the time zone that applies to the visibility start and end times.
Message: A text input field for the main content or message that will be displayed as part of the activity.
3. Mileage
Checkout Type: A dropdown menu to define the method by which participants can redeem their accumulated mileage: Point or Payment.
When the 'Checkout Type' is configured as 'Payment':

Empty Cart In Days (0 = the cart does not empty): A field to set the number of days after which items in a user's cart will be automatically removed.
Third party integration: A dropdown menu to select a specific third-party system for communication or other integration purposes.
Hour to run integration: A dropdown menu to schedule the specific hour at which the integration process will run. This field may be disabled if "Run all day" is selected.
Run all day: A checkbox to indicate that the integration should be active continuously throughout the day.
Applies to vendors: A checkbox to specify if these mileage and payment rules are applicable to vendors within the system.
When the 'Checkout Type' is configured as 'Points':

Empty Cart In Days (0 = the cart does not empty): Sets the number of days after which items in a user's cart will be automatically removed. Entering '0' disables this feature.
End Date for coupon input: The final date and time that users are allowed to input coupons for this activity.
1. Security and Usage Limits
Maximum quantity code input errors before security code is enabled: Sets the number of incorrect code entries allowed before a security measure is triggered.
Maximum quantity code input errors before banning user from activity: Sets the number of incorrect code entries allowed before a user is banned from participating in the activity
Maximum quantity checkouts per person: The maximum number of checkouts a single person can complete.
Maximum quantity weeks credits are valid: The number of weeks that credits awarded to a user remain valid.
Maximum quantity public codes allowed per person: The maximum number of public codes that a single person can use.
Maximum quantity public points allowed per person: The maximum number of points from public codes that a single person can accumulate.
Maximum quantity points allowed per person per day: The maximum number of points a single person can accumulate per day.
Instant Win - Awards global limit per participant: The global limit on the number of "Instant Win" awards a single participant can receive.
2. Gift and Rounding Configuration
On Gift name: A dropdown menu to select a gift item to associate with the activity.
Rounding Type: A dropdown menu to define how points or values are rounded during transactions (e.g., none, up, down).
3. Default Checkout Limits
This section sets the default transaction and point limits for users.
Transactions by day / by week / by month: The default maximum number of transactions a user can perform per day, week, and month.
Points by day / by week / by month: The default maximum number of points a user can accumulate or spend per day, week, and month.
4.Third-Party Integration
Third party integration: A dropdown menu to select a specific third-party system for communication or other integration purposes.

Common Settings for Both Checkout Types
Exchange Centers: This component is used to select the exchange centers that will be associated with the configuration.
Couriers: This component is used to select the couriers that will be associated with the configuration.
1. Account Configuration
This section defines the rules for participant accounts and points within the gamification system. Important note: "Account Configuration can be defined only in creating"
Account Single / Account Group: A single-choice option to determine the account type for point accumulation.
Account Single: Each participant has an individual points account.
Account Group: Participants are grouped, and points are accumulated at the group level.
Expiration of points (Days): A field to set the number of days after which earned points will expire. This field is disabled if "Not Expiry" is checked.
Not Expiry: A checkbox to indicate that points should never expire. Selecting this option disables the "Expiration of points" field.
Initial Bonus Points: A field to grant a set number of bonus points to participants when their account is created. This field is enabled by the "Has Initial Bonus Points" checkbox.
Has Initial Bonus Points: A checkbox to enable the granting of initial bonus points.

For activities configured with multiple countries, the 'IN' operator for applicability rules will be unavailable. It is necessary to review all applicability rules after saving the configuration.
Country: A list of countries where the activity configuration will be applied.
Brand Families: A list of brand families for which this template is valid.
Touchpoints: A list of touchpoints to which this configuration applies.
To Edit a Mileage activity, follow these simple steps:
Select the activity you want to edit.
Click "View activity."
On the activity details page, click ‘Edit activity’.
