Bulk Update Profile Field

This is an administrative tool designed for performing bulk (mass) updates to a specific field across many party profiles. It allows an administrator to create a batch update job, targeting a specific type of party (e.g., customers, vendors). The configuration involves specifying which field to update and the new value to be applied. After configuration, the job can be executed to apply the changes to all targeted profiles.

How to Create and Edit a Bulk Update Profile Field Value

From the Configuration > Bulk Update Profile Field Value in the Back Office (BO), a list of all configurations can be accessed.

To create a new one, select the Create option located in the RELATED TASKS section on the right side of the screen.

The following screen will be displayed:

1. Bulk Update Details: This section is used to define the basic parameters of the bulk update job.

• Code: A mandatory field for a unique identifier code for the update job.

• Name: A mandatory field for the descriptive name of the update job.

• Party Type: A mandatory dropdown menu to select the type of party whose profiles will be updated.

2. Status and Execution: This section displays the status of the job and provides the tool to run it.

• Status : A read-only field indicating the current status of the bulk update job (e.g., CONFIGURATION_PENDING).

• Parties Process : A read-only field that displays the number of party profiles that have been processed by the job.

• Process now (Button): A button to manually initiate the bulk update process. This may be disabled until the configuration is saved.

3. Fields Values: This section is used to define the specific profile field(s) to be updated.

• Fields: A dropdown menu to select the profile field that will be updated in bulk.

• + (Add Button): An icon button used to add another field to the bulk update configuration. This allows for updating multiple fields in a single job.

• - (Remove Button): An icon button used to remove the corresponding field from the configuration.

The following steps should be followed to edit a Bulk Update Profile Field Value

• Configuration - Bulk Update Profile Field

• Select a row and press View

• Click on Bulk Update Profile Field Value Edition.
