Sale Limit

This feature is a control mechanism used to enforce business rules or prevent fraud by setting transactional restrictions. It allows for the creation of named limit policies that can be applied to specific products or types. These policies define the maximum number of transactions, quantity of items, and total monetary amount that can be processed over daily, weekly, and monthly periods:

How to Create and Edit a Sale Limit

From the Configuration > Sales Limit List in the Back Office (BO), a list of all Sales limits can be accessed:

To create a new one, select the Sales Limit . Create option located in the RELATED TASKS section on the right side of the screen.

The following screen will be displayed:

1. Limit Details this section contains the primary identification and status fields for the sales limit rule.

  • Name: A mandatory field for the unique name of the sales limit rule.

  • Active: A checkbox to activate or deactivate the rule. Inactive rules will not be enforced.

  • Type: A mandatory dropdown menu to select the type of entity to which the limit applies.

  • Product : A mandatory dropdown menu to select the specific product to which the limit applies.

2. Limits this grid is used to define the specific numerical limits for transactions, quantity, and amount over three different time periods.

  • Day-Transaction / Week-Transaction / Month-Transaction: The maximum number of transactions allowed per day, week, and month.

  • Day-Quantity / Week-Quantity / Month-Quantity: The maximum quantity of the product that can be sold per day, week, and month.

  • Day-Amount / Week-Amount / Month-Amount: The maximum total monetary value of sales allowed per day, week, and month.

The following steps should be followed to edit a Sale Limit

  • Configuration - Sales Limit List

  • Select a row and press Sales Limit . View

  • Click on Edit Sales Limit.
